Been a crazy few months but hoping to be back. Feeling Scrappy had a pre class sketch for Sketchapalooza 12.  This is my version on the sketch.  I am designing and cannot wait for the class.  It is going to be awesome.

Its the everyday things!

Sometimes its the everyday things.  Jenn is lazy about picking up her things.  I am lazy about getting after her because sometimes its a pick and choose your battles things and I am constantly getting after her about it.  She was gone a week to the outer Banks.  Josh loved that things were not laying everywhere.  He has taken every chance to tell his sister how the house was cleaner with her gone. She does not believe him so I decided to scrap a page with the normal leave out stuff of Jenn after she has been home for three days.

New comfort zone

I have had a busy month with my Feeling Scrappy Sketchapalooza Class.  I have completed over 30 layouts between the  class and extra I have done.  I so love that I have been getting stuff done.  I feel like I am actually getting somewhere toward my goal of completing Jenn's Middle School book.

I love this layout.  Partially because I like the new design.  You see when I first started digital scrapbooking I did a layout for Jenn's braces coming off. I did not know that I needed to save the psd file, then I deleted the jpeg.  DUH! So here is the redo.  I used flowers.  Way out of my comfort zone as I usually don't do flowers.  I love the way this came out.  It may be a new comfort zone for me.

Completed the Challenge

Just finished the Inspired to Scrap Feb Weekend Warrior Challenge.  All Templates are by Stacey Lokovic.  I really enjoyed the weekend, got ten new pages done and really stepped outside my comfort zone.  I have to say I am not totally freaked out by that.

Waiting and Playing

I heard the news last night that one of my Scrapshare sister's lives was going to change. Her daughter has been waiting for a heart transplant.  Last night, the word came down that the "perfect heart" was on its way to Katy.  I have been nervously waiting word on Katy this morning.  I decided while I waited to scrap a page from the Feb Inspired to Scrap Weekend Warrior challenge.

Felling incredible blessed that my daughter is healthy, I decided to focus on Jenn this morning. Yes, we have another cheer page.  Template is from Inspired to Scrap's Stacey Lokovic. Digital Kits were from Craftastrophic Designs, Jen Martakis Designs and Carina Gardner Studio.

Latest update from Katy's mom Aimee: God is good... Katy's new heart is in and beating. Pressures are much lower already!! Keep the prayers coming... could not have gone more smoothly!! AMAZING! Heart was here at approx 8AM and the heart was in and beating and warm by 930. The surgeon said it was a long wait... but it was worth it the heart is PERFECT.

Yes today looks to be a great day!

There is a purpose to my scrapbooking.  A reminder to all of us about the times we have shared. I love the laughter that we had over this last Christmas break.  My crazy happy family added so much fun. I rarely do one picture to a page, so you know how important this layout was to me. I was laughing so hard I could not hold the camera steady so the picture in this layout is slightly blurry.  Its okay to have those slightly blurry pictures, its about the memories.

On the advice of a friend, I have decided to try and blog.  I figure this is a great way to share my scrapbook pages, photographs and random thought that probably no one really cares about but it is fun anyway.
